SECTION 4: All Have Sinned
4.1 Original Sin
The sin of Adam has been passed unto all of us. This is called the Doctrine of Original Sin and the Doctrine of Our Sin Nature. Death entered the world because of sin. Romans 5:12,
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” Every one of us will eventually die, because every person born has a sin nature. It is a nature that cannot keep the law of God. Romans 3:23,
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Ecclesiastes 7:20, “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.”
4.2 Man’s Fallen Nature
The basic problem with man is that he has inherited a fallen nature that has destroyed his relationship with God.
Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Man has been separated from God. Man is facing death, but death is not the end. After we die we face the judgment of God.
Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” The Bible foretells of this judgment.
Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
